On Dec 14, 2021, Liberty Counsel reports a request submitted to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Illinois “certifying all health care workers seeking damages for those employees who have been unlawfully discriminated against and denied religious exemptions from the COVID shot mandate by NorthShore University Health System”.

The request for emergency intervention was to prevent “irreparable harm to NorthShore employees”.

The Seventh Circuit:

    • “denied the injunction pending appeal asking for emergency relief”
    • “granted the motion to expedite the appeal”.

A denial of an emergency injunction does not reflect negatively on the merits of a case.

Liberty Counsel reports on “November 30, Judge John F. Kness said the plaintiffs are likely to prevail on Title VII and the Illinois Health Care Right of Conscience Act”.
